Is your child starting year 6? It’s time to talk about SATs

Year 6 can be a daunting prospect for pupils and parents. With SATs looming, you might be worried about extra pressure, more homework and the stress of a week of formal tests in the summer term. If you have concerns, please talk to your child’s headteacher as early in the school year as possible.

We have two leaflets which will help you learn more and assist with discussions with your child’s headteacher

What you need to know about SATs: the key facts about SATs. Download it here.

It’s time to talk about SATs: some questions to discuss with your child’s headteacher. Download it here.

Please share these leaflets with your family, friends or anyone who is interested in stopping high-stakes tests in primary schools.
